Life Insurance Benefits

So much more than just a death benefit

Life Insurance Benefits

You can protect your employees-and your business as well-with life benefits, such as term life, but also disability insurance, accident insurance, cancer insurance and several others. You can also protect your own investment with owner income insurance, should you be unable to run your own enterprise for awhile. Workers that feel taken care of and protected are better workers. These kind of benefits increase attendance and decrease worker's compensation claims.

Let's Talk

Take your business to the next level with benefits.

Any compensation you provide through benefits and not salary is compensation you don't pay payroll taxes on. Current payroll tax rates (updated July 2025) are 6.2% on FICA up to $176,000 in wages per employee, and 1.45% on Medicare per employee. If your employee earns $65,000 per year, you, the employer, are responsible for paying $4972.50 per year in taxes on that employee. You can reduce that burden by providing compensation in benefits rather than salary. According to a 2023 study by the US Dept. of Labor, the optimal compensation ratio for worker happiness is benefits as 30% of total compensation. Using benefits, you may be able to lower your payroll tax burden by up to 30%.
